ORIGINS

Everything starts with a step aside. A path we weren’t supposed to take, a sudden stop in front of the raw beauty of a waterfall, a landscape that feels strangely familiar. Then the walk continues along the trail, cradled by the unexpected rustle of leaves keeping time with our steps.

This is what adventure is about: senses wide awake, body in motion, attention to the smallest details. The pressure of the air, the smells, sometimes the scents. And it’s there, along the way, that inspiration grabs you without warning. Little by little, carried by the effort, ideas begin to take shape.

Then I pick up a pencil. The idea is here, alive, eager. It won’t wait for me. Sometimes it comes back again and again, in one drawing then another, sometimes in hundreds, as if it needs to be sure it’s understood. It lets itself be approached, reveals itself little by little, then resists — just enough to make me find the right line. Shapes refine, curves soften, angles ease. Some strokes come quickly, like evidence. Others take their time, return, assert themselves gently, to open my eyes to a different perspective, to a new way of seeing.

Then comes the shift into three dimensions. The idea leaves the paper and moves into space. Every curve is tested, every volume challenged by light, every angle checked. Digital tools allow the object to be explored from every side, adjusted, perfected, before being handed over to the artisan’s hands. This is the moment when drawing becomes volume, when intention becomes matter.

From this adventure, ORIGINS was born. A collection imagined by Stefano Bigi, where drawing meets material. Each piece is the result of a dialogue between creator and craftsman, centered on marble — an ageless stone, sculpted with precision to reveal its veins, its colors, its personality. Inspired by nature, touched by a hint of pop culture, elevated by noble materials, each piece has its own character and story to tell. Soon, American walnut will join the collection, opening the way to new shapes.

Each ORIGINS object becomes a guiding thread in your interior. A strong piece that makes a difference and asserts with elegance a style you love because it feels like you. ORIGINS is an invitation to live in your space with sincerity and character. Each of my works is a portal to a story I don’t need to tell, because it will belong only to you.

BIRDY is a collection of small birds sculpted in marble and fine stone, celebrating lightness and delicacy, a suspended moment, captured in stone. Each bird is carved to convey a quiet stillness, as if caught mid-gesture, wings folded, poised between motion and rest. Available in a selection of marbles and stones, every piece takes on a unique character through the veining and tone of its material.

KONG

KONG is a gorilla sculpted in “Portoro Nero” marble. Conceived as a modern totem, it embodies strength and quiet presence. Its rounded, organic forms soften the mass of the stone, while the deep black marble, veined with gold, captures light and gives each piece a unique personality.
